WHAT IS REGENERATIVE?
Regenerative Agriculture is “Farming and ranching in synchrony with nature and the four ecosystem processes to repair, rebuild, restore and revitalize ecosystem function, starting with life beneath the soil and expanding to life above .”
(Understanding AG, Dr. Allen Williams)
REGENERATIVE FARMING
Conventional farming is the antithesis of good ecosystem function. For years, modern agriculture at its core has been quantity over quality in an attempt to “feed the world” without taking into consideration how this exploitation will ultimately affect our soil, atmosphere, ecosystems, and even our bodies. Regenerative Agriculture at its root is the process of regenerating soil health, animal health, environmental health, and human health through the careful study of the natural order already provided in creation. Jacob’s Creek Farm was built on these regenerative principles including, no-till farming, and adaptive rotational grazing. We strive to provide our community with health through food, farmed on carefully cultivated, nutrient dense, and diverse farmland.
